The client is a Swiss startup operating an online store for imported food products, built on WordPress and WooCommerce.
The goal was to modernize the platform, improve usability, and extend standard eCommerce functionality with custom operational tools for warehouse management, tax handling, and customer verification

Full Platform Redesign
Redesigned both the storefront and internal eCommerce structure to improve usability and modernize the experience

Developed a custom plugin showing product location, stock levels, and expiration dates for efficient inventory control
Tax & Logistics Configuration System
Implemented flexible settings for taxes, shipping rules, and transaction cost management
Customer Identity Verification Module
Built a secure system for uploading and processing scanned ID documents for billing and bank payment verification
Multilingual Support
Integrated a translation system allowing flexible conversion of all website elements from English to German
TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION
Rebuilt the user interface for both storefront and administrative workflows
Extended default WooCommerce functionality with custom plugins for logistics and compliance
Implemented PHP-based logic for warehouse tracking, tax rules, and document handling
Designed a structured database model for stock location, expiry dates, and product lifecycle tracking
Added dynamic translation support for full multilingual operation
WORKING PROCESS
The project evolved from a simple online shop into a full operational retail management system
